Breaking Dawn review

I got the awesome chance to to see Breaking Dawn last night, on it's opening night!
I went with my cousins and hubby, yes that's right I said hubby he seen it with us. OMG right LOL.

If you haven't seen Twilight's Breaking Dawn
Please don't read any farther,
I would hate to ruin the movie for anyone.

The movie was everything I wanted it to be. All the drama over the wedding and all.
I was hopping for more out of the dress. The back was gorgeous, but I wanted more out of the front. It was pretty though, I still liked it.
The movie moved a little fast. I guess I'm used to the book more than the movie, but it all seems to happened all at once.
They skipped some conversations and some scenes.
When Jacob broke away from the pack I wanted that to take a little longer and to be more dramatic.
The way they made Bella look during her pregnancy was amazing. It looked like it was truly killing her.
The baby was gorgeous and I was so thrilled to see it be born in this movie. I thought they would draw it out more and the baby wouldn't come into this one, but it they moved it fast like I said before.
I wanted more out of the imprinting scene too.
But all in all, it was still I great movie. I found myself drawn in even though I knew what was going to happen. And that is what I would like to call I good movie.

What did you think of the movie?

Things that make Me feel OLD

Last night we watched Beauty and the Beast with the kid. Then after that Aladdin came on. We started talking about our favorite Disney movies. Mine is Aladdin.

I always wanted to me Jasmine. I loved her hair and her outfit. And having a pet tiger is way cool. Damn Kim for beating me too it.
My hubs favorite is Lion King.
Then we started wondering and I had to google the years they came out. Lion King came out in 1994 and Aladdin came out in 1992. Thinking of these years and how old the kid is now made us feel older than dirt. By the time she is in her teens and starts talking about old Disney movies she likes it'll be movies like Cars 2. And she'll call them classics like we do with Lion King now.
Who knew having a 2 year old and being 22 would make me feel so damn old.

Oh Yes Winnie the Pooh

Sunday Skylee had a play date with Savannah ( a friend of mine from high school's little girl). We all went to Target then ate at Panda Express. We also got to go see the new Winnie the Pooh.
The girls did so good in the theater. They did awesome for a almost two year old and a 9 month old. I am one proud momma. Skylee sat there and watched the movie only moving seats when she got bored, which didn't happen until about the middle of the movie. And for a hour and half long movie that's awesome!
These two are so cute!
Winnie the Pooh was awesome too. I was a fan of winnie the pooh when I was a kid so seeing this took me back. It was just a good as the old ones. I loved it.

Just Go With It Movie Review

Last night was rented the Adam Sander and Jennifer Aniston movie Just Go With It. I love Adam Sander movies, he is just a laugh riot. And Jennifer Aniston, she is one gorgeous woman and awesome actress. Of course being the hubs he thought he wouldn't like it. He said it was nothing but a chick flick. And I say by his laughter during the movie that he liked it after all.
The movie is one laugh after another. Adam's character starts off telling the story. He starts with how he started the fake marriage lie and how it was working out for him. Then it gets to present day and his a plastic surgery doctor. So here he goes telling his fake marriage lie to all these woman who come into his office.
He meet one woman at a party and falls in love. He happened to not be wearing the fake ring at the time. Then after a hot night on the beach she finds the ring in his pants. This is where he must make up the fake family and divorce.
The story moves on the Hawaii after Adam's fake son keeps on about wanting to swim with dolphins, super funny there. Then we get into a love story. The end of the movie takes a turn, but you see it coming from a mile away. Still doesn't take away the awesomeness of the movie.
I have to say this is a must see movie. Go rent it today! Your husband will like it if he gives it a try.

Super 8 Review

Last night the hubs and I went with some friends to see Super 8. We thought it was going to be a cute thriller with some kids in it. And I was excited to see Elle Fanning, I think she's just adorable.
But I'm sorry to say this movie sucks. I guess it was meant to be a kids movie. I like kids movies don't get me wrong. But this one was just crappy. We had more fun making fun of it than watching it.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!! IF YOU DON'T WANNA KNOW DON'T READ ANYMORE!

It was about a alien that came to earth and it's ship got messed. The poor alien just wanted to go home. It was touching in stupid way. The whole time you can't even see the alien really because the movie was so dark. just about the whole movie is in the dark. It's really predictable. And way too easy to make fun of.
For a kids movie I think it's pretty good. But as a adult be prepared to be bored out of your mind. It was so bad 2 out of 4 people that was watching the movie were playing on their phones.
You have been warned!

Loving Dates with the Hubs

Sunday was a great day for me and the hubs. We went and seen my parents and they watched Skylee for us that day. We got to have a well needed, long awaited, date day.
We started the day off by having lunch at The Vortex Bar & Grill.
I love this place. It's one of the best burger joints in Atlanta. And who doesn't wanna walk through that mouth! They were super busy and we waited a while before setting. I love going out to eat, one I don't have to cook, two I don't have to do the dishes LOL. I was nice to be able to talk to Scotty without having our little one there demanding all of my attention.
We left there and headed to a shopping center near by and went to Target and a book store. We were so darn cute we even shared a Venti drink from Starbucks.
Then we headed to the drive in to see Hangover Part 2.
We had to set in the truck for about 45mins until the gates opened. So I got bored and started snapping pictures with my phone. Aren't we cute?!
We sat on thje back of the truck under the stars and watched the movie. It was a awesome night. Can't wait to have more days like this one.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Hangover Part 2 Review

The hubs and I went on a date night last night and we went an seen Hangover Part 2. I am a huge fan of the 1st movie, so I was just tickled pink to hear there was going to be a part two. I love this wolf pack. They are all so different and funny in their own way. In this movie Stu is the on getting married. The movie takes place in Thailand, mostly Bangkok.
Stu doesn't want a bachelor party because we all know what happened in Vegas. And " it happened again", the black out. They wake up on a crappy hotel in the middle of Bangkok missing Stu's future wife's little brother. To find him they have to retrace what happened the night before. And just like normal
"wolf pack" nature they had one killer night.
The movie just keeps throwing funny crap at you. From drug dealing monkeys to facial tattoos, to missing fingers. This movie is not for kids. I repeat NOT FOR KIDS! You would be shocked at how much little kids I seen last night at the drive in watching this movie.
It's full of laughs and OMGs. I say it's a must see.

New Pirates of the Caribbean Review

I got to go see this movie of the weekend. I was so excited to hear they were even making another one. I love me some Jack Sparrow. I was kinda sad not to see Bloom, but I lived. The movie was just as dark and action packed as the last three. Penelope Cruz joins the cast as a ex lover of Jack Sparrow's, who is hell bent on saving her father's, Black Bread, soul.
In this movie the goal is to find the fountain of youth. Jack is looking a little a older in this movie. His hair is bleached by the sun giving it a golden look at times. His even got some grey hairs showing.
The best part of the movie to me was the mermaids. I just loved them. They all looked so pretty and the fact that they are killer made it even more cool. Even my daughter ( who we took with us to the drive in) thought the mermaids were the best part. She paid no attention to the movie until the mermaids started killing the guys. Then she would point to the screen and say, " fishy fishy, weeeeee." After that scene she went back to eating popcorn and playing in the car seat. I can't wait for this movie to come out on blu-ray so I can really see all the special effects and the graphics.
I wasn't too happy with the end, if left a lot of unanswered questions for me. Like, what happened to the missionary and mermaid?
It really was an awesome movie.
Have you seen it yet? What did you think?

Movie Review : PAUL

OMG this movie right here! Okay let me start with, this is not a movie for kids. It has a R rating for a reason.
Okay so starts out this two guys come to America to see all the UFO sites we have. The are driving down this road and a car flips in front of them and they met Paul. Paul is the fowl mouth alien who will make you laugh your pants off. Paul is running from the government to taking to get back home. The two guys help him with many laughs along the way.
The hubby and I went and saw this last Sunday. We were so excited because we just knew it was going to be a good one. And oh boy were we right. We laughed just about through the whole movie. It was great.
If you're looking for a good adult laugh time away from the kids, this is the movie to go see.

XOXO

New page for Movie Reviews.

Summer 2011 looks like it's going to be a great one for movie goers.
My family are big movie watchers rather it be at the theater, drive in, rentals, or Netflix. So I will try my best to keep everyone in the know about all the big movies this summer.
I have even made a page up above to save all the reviews so if you miss it, you can go back there and read it. Or if you just wanna read them again.
Rango is already up there and there are more to come like :
Big Mama's House 3
and
Paul.

Hope everyone likes this idea because I do.

I also wanna throw out a big shout out to my local drive in. If you live in the Atlanta area or in Georgia you should so check out the Starlight Six Drive In. $14 for two people small children FREE and you get a double feature. It's the best value in Atlanta.

Movie Review : Rango

The hubby, little girl and I went to the Drive In and saw this last weekend. I was super excited to see a movie with Johnny Depp in it. He is always good in animated movies. And this one is no different. Starts off super funny and showing where "Rango" came from and how he got to the wild wild west. He comes to the town of Dirt and becomes their sheriff/hero. The story goes on to tell us how the town of Dirt is running out of water. And Rango is there to save the town.
It starts to drag on a little, but still kept me watching. The laughs come and go as the story goes on. A sweet romance comes along and makes you laugh and say "Awww". And like most children movies it ended with a happy birthday.
Once the "action" started by the middle of the movie I found it draggy. I thought it went on just a little too long. But other than that fact, I found it to be a really cute movie.

Whatcha Sat Wednesday

1.  What was your funniest Christmas memory from this year?
Our daughter at my mother's Christmas eve party when she got a stuff white tiger. She looked just like the little girl from Despicable Me. You know when the little girls gets the stuffed unicorn and yells " It's so fluffy!!!!" Skylee was running around yelling in her baby babble holding her tiger up in the air.

2.  What was your favorite board game as a kid?
CandyLand hands down!

3. If you could go on a date with one celebrity – if they’re currently married or you are let’s pretend you’re both single – who would it be and why?

I don't think there's any male celebrity I like that much. Maybe EDWARD!! LOL! Can I say Megan Fox? I love her!

Bonus!

On Gilligan's Island, how did Ginger have so many different outfits when they were only going on a 3 hour tour?
Girls gotta look good!
