That's right, Skylee said her 1st sentence last night.
She said, " night night dada."
It happened last night as I was carry her off to her bedroom. Scotty said, " Good Night Skylee." and looked over my shoulder and said, "night night dada."
It was so cute. I was in utter shock. Where did she learn to do that? She is growing up to darn fast.
It seems like just a few months ago I was taking this picture in the hospital as she slept. She was so tiny. She was so sweet. Now, now she's something else. She walks and feeds herself, and now she is saying sentences. What next? Is she going to be dressing herself? That I might now mind too bad.
I'm so tore about her growing up. Scotty isn't, he likes that she's getting older. Which I understand his side. She is now more fun to him. They can now play together. Before it was mostly all mommy time. When they get older they turn to the dark side and become daddy girls.
I don't miss the bottles or 2 am feedings. I don't miss the heavy carrier or keeping up with passies.
I do miss the 2 naps a day. I do miss the little cute clothes and tiny diapers that looked so darn cute. I do miss rocking her to sleep and holding her while she slept.
Gosh I feel so old. It's true having kids makes you feel old. Not just the fact that you're tired all the time. But the older they get the older you feel/get. I'm 21 years old and I feel 35.
My baby said a sentence. My baby is growing up. My baby is no longer my baby, she's a toddler.

Baby's 1st Camping Trip
So Friday afternoon we headed for Lake Oconee. We stayed at Old Salem Campgrounds. Skylee seemed really excited when we started putting our tent up.
She loved running in and out of it and jumping on the air mattresses. She loves being outside so I knew she would love being out all day camping.
We walked around the woods and checked the place out. It was so pretty.
This was the view from our tent. That's the lake through those trees. That night we sat by the lake and fished. We had pork chops on the grill with baked beans. Skylee got to see a catfish up close and a frog, all catch by Scotty's dad.
The next morning was a little different. We got up and headed to town to by more bait and stuff. When we got back Skylee was getting kinda cranky. She did get up way before her normal time. She wanted everyone to hold her and carry her around, which wasn't happening.
This would be here through herself on the ground and screaming. She fell once and I picked her and to clean her off, so she thought she would throw herself down again. She did this for about a hour.
I figured if she wanted to lay down I would at least make her comfy. Poor baby layed down and fell asleep out in the open. She slept like this for about two hours.
Scotty cooked us breakfast on the grill. I love eating outside for some reason so this was awesome. Nothing like bacon, eggs, and grits all cooked on an open grill.
She slept right through breakfast.
Once she wake up she was off and going. She played ball and feed ducks.
it was a pretty good Saturday.
She loved that tent and so did daddy.
This is a egg Scotty found just laying out in a patch of grass all alone.
I craved mine and Scotty's letters into one of the tables. It's hard to see but it says," N & S 4 eva."
We ended the night setting by the fire and making smores.
Skylee was such a good sleeper while camping. I thought she would have been hell on two tiny feet when it ncame to night time. But she wasn't both nights she fell right asleep. On the 2nd night she even slept on her own air mattress.
Sunday morning I got a smile out of her.
The only down side of the weekend was that Skylee has a little fever and we found a tick on her shoulder Sunday morning. She ran a small fever all Sunday, but today it seems to be gone. And believe me the tick scared the crap out of me. I was home googling Lyme disease., but I'm sure now she's in the clear. LOL.
If you're ever looking for a place to camp in Georgia, Old Salem Campground is awesome. They had a beach. but it wasn't quit beach weather yet, maybe next time.
XOXO

Revamping the Flip Flop
I found this great flip flop craft tutorial yesterday. And to my luck I had a blow out pair of flips that needed come fixing up. I found the tutorial here at The Mother Huddle.com.
I really like this and I'm thinking or revamping all my flops this summer all in different ways. And of course pictures will be added here because I love y'all.
In other news I'm be out this weekend. We are going on another family camping trip and this time we're taking Skylee. It will be her 1st camping trip. I'm a little nervous. She is great out doors and easy to entertain, but when night time comes I'm scared she'll be scared. One she will be sleeping in a tent. I was kinda scared my 1st time too. She isn't good at sleeping anywhere other than her bed and car seat. It could be a long night. Wish us luck! and like I said before I love y'all so pictures and the story will be up.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
XOXO

1st Year Hosting Thanksgiving
So Loves Yours' Truly Hosted Thanksgiving this year, in our little home. I was super excited about before the day was here. Then It hit me, people are going to be eating what I cook. That fact kinda scared me. So I got up and after a "try to un-stress myself" shower, got started. I started the ham and other yummy stuff. I started cleaning like a mad women and stressing out like crazy.
We ate, talked, and watched the kids play outside. It was such a pretty day here in Georgia. I was wearing my favorite short sleeve Nirvana shirt, my comfy hole in the knee jeans, and my all time favorite shoes ( flip flops). Skylee did really good with the other kids. She is so used to it just being her around the house I am really shocked she did so well. She seemed like she had an awesome day, which makes a mommy feel good.
My poor hubby, I don't know how he deals with me at times. I was bossing him around and getting mad with him over dumb stuff. We had our exchange of words then hugged and made up. And I keep on truckin'. I got dressed and dressed Skylee. Then cooked and cleaned some more. By time I was done cooking and just waiting on the ham to get done, my feet were killing me. I'm a stay at home mom who blogs, I'm not used to being on my feet so much. I know laugh all you want, I did end up acting like a big baby about my sore feet.
Just as we were ending our 10000000th round around the house cleaning, Scotty's family starts showing up, three hours early I mind you. But I trucked on, like a trooper. This was my Thanksgiving and I was not going to let people showing up early ruin it.
The ham was finally done and look so good. And it was just fall off the bone, watering of the mouth, orgasm good. I know I'm going a little far, but you just don't understand. So we waited and waited, then finally everyone was here and eating was on. We ate, talked, and watched the kids play outside. It was such a pretty day here in Georgia. After everyone was gone and the house was sorta clean again, we sat down and watched one of my favorite Disney movies, Beauty and the Beast. Now that Skylee's tucked in bed, the hubby is soring beside me, and the dog is sleeping by my feet, I'm eating some more of my orgasmic ham. HaHa LMAO!
