The Hubs was loving all the bud.
All our burgers were BBQed in the awesome Budweiser Barbecue Sauce.
The food was good. The company was great. The day was awesome!

Flash Back to the Last 4th

One year ago my baby was so small. She wasn't even one and it was her 1st 4th of July. I wanted to share some picture of last year with y'all.

We went to Stone Mountain to see the laser show. But if you have ever been to Stone Mountain on the 4th of any holiday you know that you have to get there early.

With the sun beating down on us we were roasting like chickens. So the hubs fixed us up some shade.

This was our baby hanging out in her shade.

We ate at one of the cute restaurants in the park. The food was awesome but pricey.

We had hours on time to kill. We played ball and went on walks and did one of our favorite things, people watched.

I miss how little she was. And she was sweet then.

This year we are oping out of getting into the big crowds and heat. We are spending a quit day at home together. Then the in-laws are coming over tonight to BBQ and watch fireworks.

Hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th!
I would also like to thank those who are still fighting for us to stay free. I thank them and their families!

Easter 2011

It's the day after Easter and all that I cleaned is now dirty and messy. And there's plastic eggs as far as I can see! LOL.
I have been planning Easter 2011 for 2 months and now it's come and gone. But I think everyone had a great time. We had more food than planned, which is not a bad thing LOL. Skylee was the only kid hunting eggs, so she had more eggs than planned. We went fishing, but no one catch a thing. But all in all it was a awesome day.
Now the pictures!

 I made Bunny Eggs

The aftermath. LMAO!

Petter Cottontail to Coming and We're Geting Ready

As a mother I want all the holidays to be awesome for my daughter. I try to go over and normal and make the day the best. I go out of my way to make every happy and to make everything easier for everyone else. For example, my side of the family is funding and fighting, so I took it upon myself to put together a awesome Easter Day for everyone, which includes in-laws, brother in-law and his kids, my parents, my uncle and his crew.  Nothing like a big mixed family holiday. LOL
Money is tight this year so we are having a get together at my house. Everyone is wanting to go fishing so the lake across the street is perfect. I still have to decide who is bring what, but other than that everything seems to be falling into place.

We got Skylee Easter dress yesterday. I love this dress. I didn't wanna go with anything pink, child has enough pink in her closet. And this one reminds me of the 70s.
I also made her a Easter basket filled with her favorite things. There's lots of Dora, some candy, and a book. And the basket matches her dress.
As soon as we get the food worked out with who's bring what everything will be set.
What are you doing for Easter this Year?

Best Valentine's Day Ever

Most of my Valentine's Days have been spent alone in my lifetime. I didn't date much in high school and the serious relationship/s I had never lasted around this time of the year. I never had someone to take me out and buy my candies, other than my mom.
This year was different. Not only did I have my daughter, she was really fun this year. Last year she just kinda set there. This year I had my husband as well.
My day started out great. I got to get my baby girl up and give her her candy and gifts. She loved the mess out of it all.

Then her day just got better my mom and sister came by and gave her more candy and a balloon and a bear. She a lucky little girl.
Then my day took a turn for the worst. Scotty's mom called. LOL! No, she called and said that Scotty invited them down today. I flipped!!!! He knew how important this day was to me. Why would he do this? I was so mad. I text and called him at work but no answer. I was pissed for about 4 hours.
Then he finally called me back. I flipped out on him. In turn I find out that his mom misunderstood what he had said to her, like she always does. He asked when were they coming down again and she got out of that, come down tonight. Don't ask her mind works on it's own level.
So I got  all pretty and we sent Skylee off with her granny to eat dinner. Scotty took me to see Gnomeo and Juliet. Super cute movie. I loved it. Then we went out and got milk shakes.
Best night ever. It was simple, but so sweet. Just the way I like things.

A Valentine of 1st

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Hope your are with your loved ones.
This year the the 1st year Me and Scotty get to spend together out of the three years we have been together. The 1st year he was off training for deployment. The 2nd year he was deployed and now this year, we are together. I'm so excited and happy about today. I got my present early. Friday I got a new cell phone.

And of course I got a pink cover. Every year I have gotten a new cell phone. I like them better than flowers and candy. LOL.
Skylee got some of her gifts yesterday when we went to the store she saw a big frog with a heart hanging from it's mouth that said Kiss Me. She saw it and took off across the store to get. I told her to put it back that we weren't paying $10 for it. Then Scotty said why not? His such a push over. Then I made her this basket,

My mom always made us basket for holidays. So that's what I'm starting with Skylee.
Now for Scotty I didn't wanna ask for money to buy him anything because he would ruin a surprise and bitch about the cost LOL, so I made him this,

A Coupon Book.
 Because he works so hard.
Because his ALWAYS asking for this.
Because he says I always get to pick.
Because he says I bitch too much.
I think he'll like it.

XOXO

Parties are No Fun When You have to Play Mommy Alone

Hope everyone had a wonderful New Years Eve and Day.

Mine wasn't so good. We invited the in-laws down to enjoy the night with us. I cleaned the house and made sure we had food for everyone to eat. Everyone got here and we hung outside for a while. Skylee got to enjoy the outside because it wasn't so cold out. Then everyone wanted to light up and it was getting chilly around 8pm, so I took Skylee in. Long story short, me and Skylee stayed inside well everyone else stayed outside.
Being that she could hear everyone laughing and talking she didn't want to go to bed. So being the good mommy I was trying to be. I stayed in and we watched tv. Everyone else got to be outside and drink and have a good time. I'm not saying I didn't like spending time with my little one. It just wasn't too fair.
I wanted to drink, play cards, and laugh. But I got to watch Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and try to get a one year old to go to bed while she could hear people having fun, not easy.
I got so mad that I was left alone. I was steaming. By the time I did get Skylee to bed, I was so mad I was in tears. I don't understand why people couldn't be understanding and adapt to having a baby around. It's our house, they knew the baby is here, why not act like it?
Well midnight rolled around and I was in bed mad, while Scotty and his parents were in the living room talking. I didn't get a kiss at midnight, I cried just about all night, and I vowed that next New Years Eve would be different. I did what I thought was right for Skylee. It was a holiday and I spend it with her. I made sure she had fun and was happy. I played mommy alone, happy or not, I did.

Darlin' Review : Shutterfly.com

http://www.shutterfly.com/ has some really great holiday cards available. They have everything from flat stationery cards, flat photo cards, and folded greeting cards. My favorite are the flat stationery cards. They give the choice having family pictures added to your Christmas cards.

This is one of my favorite options from flat stationery. I love the choice of two pictures. I like the wording of the card also.
You can find this card and many awesome ones like it at  www.Shutterfly.com/Cards-Stationery.

If you're looking for a holiday card Shutterfly has them for you too. This one here is one of my favorite designs. I like the colors and I would also go with the black and white picture. To find cards like this one and many more click here.

Shutterfly also offers Christmas birth announcements, religious Christmas cards, and holiday birthday invitations. I haven't decided which card I will be using this year. Shutterfly has so many to choose from. They all look so great and at a great price.
My daughter just went and took some Christmas pictures that where just gorgeous, so at least I know what picture I'll be using. I'm really looking forward sending out cards this year. And Shutterfly has made it easy for me to get it all together.
