Stacking 7 High
She is, look at her go. In our homeschooling lesson for the pass few days has been"Block Play". She started off last week not knowing how to stack two blocks and now she's stacking seven high. I feel so much pride when I see her doing stuff like, just melts my heart.
"Block Play"
Is a time where you break out the blocks and show your little one how to stack them. You start with stack one on top another and go from there. Skylee loves this. She sat today and played with her blocks for about 30mins.

Flash Cards
I made Skylee some flash cards for her homeschooling lesson. I really think she'll like them. This is a way cheaper way to get flash cards. Some toddler flash cards are crazy high in price. But these were made with things I already had around the house.
To Make your own flash cards:
I just googled pictures of the things I wanted, in this case body parts.
Printed them out
cut and pasted onto construction paper
and labeled.
Skylee already knows three body parts: Head, Belly, and Nose.

Body Parts, Blocks, and Bible Stories.
Skylee has been ding really well with homeschooling. For example, at her age is is suppose to know one body part, well we are up to three now: belly, head, and nose. She is getting better with her scribbles, and she can stack three blocks.
I found another really good site for toddler activities. It's Letter of the Week. They give you two lessons for each month. They start from birth and go up. I found some really good games on there, like Clean Up or Not.
It's simple, you take a clothes basket and some stuffed animals and then show your toddler how to out them in the basket. Skylee really liked this.
So I am going to continue with the Bible study part of our lessons and add in the lessons from Letter of the Week.
XOXO

Homeschooling plus Bible study
I have been looking around on the internet all night about this homeschooling thing. I have come to the conclusion that I will be doing a Bible related homeschooling. I found a pretty good site to help me out, Here, plus I'm coming up without myself.
I will be adding a tab up top to bookmark my journey with this. I have never tried to teach anyone anything in my life. I'm kinda nervous about how this is going to turn out, but I'm going to give it my best shot. I have my 1st week lesson made already complete with self made coloring sheets.
Yes there is a pug there as the dog. I thought I would use something she is used to seeing.
Here's my lesson plan :
Week 1 : God made the animals.
Day one : Read the story of Noah's Ark.
Color a color page with a Ant and Bear on it. [ A for ant, B for bear ]
Day two : Read story
Look around the house and find animals. [ making a game out of it. ]
Day three: Read story
Color page with cat and dog on them [ C for cat, D for dog ]
Day four : Read story
Sing Noah's Ark Song. [ found video on youtube ]
Day five : Read story
Make Noah's Ark out of paper craft.
Wish me luck!

Homeschooling My Toddler
So I have been thinking about how important it is to give our daughter a head start in life. I have thought about preschools and what not. Preschool/daycare just isn't in the picture right now. Me and my husband both feel she is too young and plus we just don't have the funds for it right now.
I'm at home with her all day and I think I should start homeschooling her. Problem is, I don't know where to start. I just started looking into this and it's looking kinda hard. I want it to be fun for both of us. I don't wanna pull out my hair thinking about trying to teach her. My biggest thing right now is that we learned where her head is. So now we are up to knowing where two body parts are, belly and head. Yes I started with the two biggest body parts, I just thought that would be easier.
So now I'm on the hunt to find out how to do this homeschooling thing.
Anyone know where to start or have any good sites/blogs I could check out please let me know.
And of course I'll keep you up dated.
