"Dorthy The Tornadoes Hit Near Darlin' Country"

I would like to start this post off by saying that all the families affected by the storms that hit yesterday are in my thoughts and prayers. The storms hit hard yesterday killing over 200 people and leaving so many without homes. They say it was more tornadoes hit the south yesterday than ever.
Being that we living in the mobile home, I was watching the weather like a crazy woman. I let the hubby go to sleep as soon as he got done with dinner because I feared it would be a long night. I layed Skylee down at her normal bed time. I kept at eye on the weather, even when it ment I had to miss my Netflix and watch American Idol ( I hate that show ). Around 9:30pm we were packed and heading out the door to stay the night at my parents house.
There we watched the weather up until around 11pm, praying for all the people and sending out texts to check on everyone.
Now I was never a co-sleeper so me and the little one had a hard night. The hubs slept on the couch after being kicked a billion times by Skylee, leaving the queen size air mattress to us. She rolled around and wanted to play. I would close my eyes and pretend to be a sleep and she would poke at me. It did get sweet when she started getting the "sleeping" me kisses. It was more kisses than she has ever given me willingly.
The thunder started to boom through the house and we could hear the rain pouring. Skylee would jump on top of me every time a crack of thunder came through. But thankfully by the grace of God it passed soon and everything was okay. I finally got Skylee to sleep around 3am and then got the hubs up at 5:30am for work. Then I was up again at 8am with Skylee wanting to play.
I thank God for watching over us and our home. And I pray for those who are dealing with all aftermath today.
On a lighter note, I would like to share how crazy my husband is. He said he something happens to our house and we have to start over, he's going to at least start over with his TV.
This is where we get when storms come through, if we stay at the house at all.
Yes the hubs put the TV in the fort. As you see it's still safe today. Thank you Storm Fort.

XOXO

Locked Out

The worst thing that could ever happen when I'm home alone happened. It was terrible. I was in panic. I locked myself out of the house. And here comes the worst part, Skylee was locked in the house.
I pulled on the door. I went to the window, stupid window locked too. Do I really think someone is going to break in, I have everything locked?! Skylee is crying inside, I am feeling like my heart is going to jump out of my chest and I'm sweating in below freezing weather.
Lucky me a friend of Scotty's was pulling up to visit Larry next door. I ran out to him and told him what happened. He got a screw driver and headed over. He pushed and prided and shook. Then he said he needed a big screw driver that he would run to his house and get one and be right back. It seemed like it took forever as I listen to my baby crying inside. She was by the window the whole time looking at me with tears running down her face. Poor thing thinks I left her in there by herself for the fun of it.
Mick comes back and starts working on the door again. He says he might mess up the door some but he could get it open. I told him how much I didn't care for the door anyways and I just needed inside. Praying for what seemed like forever that I could just get in my house and hug my baby. Then "POP" the door is open. The lip of the door is bent, but that doesn't matter. I owe this man big time. I ran in and got Skylee and hugged and kissed her. I'm in the house and Skylee won't let me out her down for about ten minutes. I don't blame her, she looked so scared.
So now I'm making sure that I hide a spare key outside somewhere or give one to the neighbor. I NEVER wanna have that happen again.

Purple Flowing fom her Mouth

I had such a panic last night over my daughter. I was laying in the chair watching tv, hubby is asleep on the couch and I thought Skylee was playing on the floor. Out of no where I hear her choking. I look down and find her really choking. I jump up and start trying to get whatever it is out of her mouth. To my shock this bright purple stuff starts coming out of her mouth, I scream! She stops choking and I look into her mouth to see this purple stuff stuck to her teeth. I grab a wet rag to wipe her mouth with and start looking for this strange purple stuff that I have never seen in my house before.
My 1st thought is a crayon. I just bought her some new fat crayons that day and she was coloring with them, but I thought I put them all up. I check the box and I was right, I did put them up. So what is this purple stuff she is trying to make a snack out of. In all the craziness of my yelling and running around my husband wakes up and see whats going on. After hearing the story he starts looking this this purple stuff with no luck.
I brush Skylee's teeth to get the crap out of her mouth when I see it's in her hair too. So not only do I have to find this purple stuff, I have to now give her a bath and wash her hair. So I wash her hair and listen to Scotty tell me how she's going to be okay and that it was probably nothing.
Okay I know babies are going to eat stuff and what not, but I guessed it would never be something that I have never seen in the house. I have no clue what his purple stuff was. But I have been watching her and she hasn't found anymore purple stuff and she's act normal, so I guess she is okay.
Lesson learned :
Where there is a anything, your child well find it, and eat it.

Godzilla was in our House

A few days ago I saw our puppy chasing something by the door. I made her stop and that's when I seen it. Godzilla run across the living room under a shelf. I freaked. I called my hubby then at work and told him I was freaking. He tells me to get the guy who lives next door to get it out if I was that scared. I was going to go get him, but then I decided I couldn't tell him where to find it. I wasn't going to put my face that close to see if it was still under there.
So hours went by and I was still freaking. I was wondering all the what if's. What if it got into our food? What if it got into Skylee bed while she was sleeping? What if it could bite? The next day rolled around and I had almost forgot it was there. Then there it was, setting in my kitchen.

Just setting there, staring at me. I called my husband once again and told him what was happening. All I got out of that was laughter in my ear. So being the sap I am, I was feeling bad because it looked at the window all sad. It wanted to go home. So being me again, I started talking to Godzilla.
I told him to stay put. That my husband would be home in a few hours and take him home. While being a lizard who didn't listen, he moved away from the window and I lost him again.
Then on Thanksgiving he reappeared. My oh so brave hubby, who had to use a jar because he didn't want to touch it, took him back outside. So now Godzilla is living happy in our front yard, being all lizardy and stuff.
