1st Off I wanna start this post by saying, I know all children will potty train when their ready and all kids are different. I know this.
2nd I would like to say, this potty training thing is super hard.
We have been going full potty training mode for a week now. We are cloth training at home and using pull-ups ( meaning disposables ) when we're out. We tryed doing cloth while we went out, but Skylee is so small that the 2T water proff pants I bought ( 2T being the smallest size I could find) are too big. So they didn't hold in leaks well at all.
We were doing good the 1st few days at home. We had plenty of "naked-time". We pee peed in the potty 2 times the 1st day. We were so proud. And I was giving her cookies for a reward.( I know I know, not the best thing to do. But she doesn't get sweets often and this made her happy. I can't help but I want to make her happy.) The next few days weren't as successful. We went through all 6 pairs of cloth panties in like 7mins. I so not lying. It was kinda fun now that I think about it.
The pull-ups aren't helping at all. We bought some with Dora on them, being that is her favorite person right now. I told her, "Don't pee pee on Dora." She was so happy to be wearing Dora, but that didn't stop her from peeing on her. A wet pull-up didn't seem to bother her at her. At least a wet cloth panties made her cry.
We are just starting off. And I am keeping my cool.
Wish us luck.

Perparing to Cloth Potty Train.
We have been taking a break from potty training to regroup. I needed to find another way to train that was right for us. I just couldn't see paying $10 for pull-ups when we were just going to throw them away. I didn't wanna pay a lot of money for something we could be using for a while. And the cost of pull-ups adds up quick. And I just couldn't see Skylee seeing them as anything other than a pretty diaper.
So I did some looking around and found these Gerber cloth training pants. Gerber is a good company I trust so I order this pack of three and I plan on ordering more soon. I also plan on order some of Gerber's waterproof pants too.
Along with ordering those I order a travel potty seat. It's called Mommy's Helper. I just hated the idea of putting my little baby on a big ol' dirty public potty. So I was so happy I found this. I can't wait until I get it. It even founds up to fit into the diaper bag.
So once I have all these thing ordered and in, we'll start training again. Looking forward to it.
Has anyone else ever cloth potty trained? How did it go?

Potty Training Goes On
Thanks for all the helpful advice! I am going slow because like you all said she will go when she's ready!
But going along with the potty training, we went to Target last night and I bought a potty book.
It's so cute and there's a button that make flushing sounds. Skylee loves this book. I will read it to her, then she wants to do it herself.. She thinks the button is funny sounding.
I'm trying not to push it. I just want to have everything we need now. And she just really likes the book and I enjoy making her happy. And that picture is just priceless.
Don't forget to check out my current giveaway. There's some really pretty jewelry up for grabs : Click Here and Enter - Low Entry

Learning to Potty Train
I'll be the 1st to say, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to potty training. Skylee just turned 18 months today and we have been learning about the potty for about a week now. We bought her a potty chair last wal-mart trip. She seemed happy about it. She mostly likes to take it apart and put her face to the pot part. I had a potty seat that goes on the big potty ( as seen in picture ) put up in the closet that my mom bought a while back. Skylee seems to like it more. Which I understand, it's super softer than that hard ol' potty chair.
She seems to be really into the potty right now. She loves setting on it and playing with the TP roller ( as seen in picture above).
I have a plan going,
We go to the potty every hour if we can.
I have ordered some potty books for her and we are going to buy some pull ups this weekend.
I know I might be starting early, but I'm ready for the long haul. We did have a step forward Sunday night. We had just got home and I was going to change her diaper and get ready for bed. I put her on the potty and turned on the sink to help things "get going" and she peed in the potty. I was soooo excited I jumped up and clapped and starting yelling for daddy to come and see. Skylee thought it was the best thing ever. I'm hoping for more of those times.
Any advise is welcome!

So There's Pee on the Floor
I had to laugh at this one myself. It started off as bath time. Well my little hard headed picky little girl didn't want any of the Mr. Bubble mommy put in her bath. I took her clothes off to put her over into the bath and her feet touched the bubbles and she freaked. Being the oh so nice mommy I am, I drained the tub to get rid of the bubbles.
Well I was refilling the tub with just water, Skylee decided she had to potty. So she peed right there in the floor. She's only 17months a has never peed anywhere else other than her diaper. She looked so confused. It was so funny I couldn't help but laugh. I knew she didn't know any better. Just the look on that child's face was priceless. It was like she was thinking, " Mommy why I potty on floor? Where's my diappy?"
Awe motherhood awesome!
