Ding Dong His DEAD!

Yesterday May 1st, 2011, we found out that this horrible man, Osama Bin Laden is DEAD!!!! It's a historical moment in American history.
Where was I on 9/11?
I was in the 7th grade. I was setting in my class room, out on a trailer behind my school in Decatur Georgia. We were moved into the build and put on lock down. Our teacher was crying and we had no idea what horrors that were going on outside. Some kids were being took home early and the rest of us were giving work sheets to keep us busy.
When I got home and saw on TV what had happened, I lied at the foot of my parents bed and cried. They said we were going to war. All I knew about war was in the movies, strange soldiers coming into homes and killing the whole family. I was terrified.
Where was I when they said Osama Bin Laden was dead?
Picture of our TV as Obama made his speech.

I was setting in our living room next to my husband, who is a Afghanistan Vet. We cheered and made comments as the speech went on. We hugged and I thank him for his service to this country. He told me who he thought did it and told me about his time at war. I felt my heart swelled with pride as I thought about my husband and thought about being an American. I thought about my daughter who knows nothing about war and bad people. I thought about her safety and what her daddy did what he did for her.
To all our service members I send out a Thank You!
As a former Army Wife I know how horrible it feels to not sleep and hold on to the phone every minute of the day as your husband is out on a mission and can't call home until his back at the FOB. I know the fear of not hearing from him when you think you should. I know how it feel to give birth to a child without her father there because his at war.
If it wasn't for this man we would have never had to feel those things. We would have never had to hug our soldiers good bye for 18 months. We would have never had to stand beside flag covered coffins.

Thank God that man is gone. The world is now a better place!
It just shows you shouldn't mess with the best!

Saying Good-Bye to the Army

Sunday we went to the Bravo Co Christmas party. We ate, got pictures with Santa, and got gifts. It was a fun time.
The 1st event I ever went to with Scotty was the Army's Christmas party in 2008. I was just a girlfriend hoping for a ring. Now I'm a wife with a baby loving life. The last army event I am going to go to was the Christmas party 2010. It ends how it starts I guess. I'm kinda sad. We have been through a deployment and a lot of other crap the army has thrown at us. It's been a rough ride. And I'm kinda sad to see it go.
I'm going to miss the uniform and some of the people. I'm going to miss the events and the stuff they do for the families and the money.
But I'm not going to miss the long days the army take. The crap and people you have to put up with.
I'm going to miss being able to say I'm a Army Wife. I feel like I'm being kicked out of a club or something.
But theres nothing like being able to life a normal life. To have my husband work a normal job and not worry so much about him being hurt or worse.
So normal life here we come. Normal jobs, normal hours, and normal nights.

Fawk you sickness! I hate you with a passion. My baby is feeling like crap. I didn't get any sleep last night. I now have to go pay a $30 co pay to take her to the doctor.

Fawk you the cost of toys. Why is a stupid little stuffed doll $10. Really?!!! And you know people are going to spend that kind of money because it's Christmas and we love our children. Grrrr! you make us broke and my husband mad because we're broke.

Fawk you army's drill weekend. Your going to make my hubby tired and he won't get a day off at all this weekend because of you!

Fawk you cold. I wasn't ready for you. I don't have any winter clothes! damn you!

Fawk you stupid lot rent people. Because you let the water from a broken pipe ran for a weekend straight you are now raising our rent. I'm sorry you are too stupid to tell the people working on the water pipe to shout it off when they leave for the weekend.

Fawk you stupid guy who lives across the street and wants to use his leaf blower ever other day!!! I wanna steal your leaf blower!!!
