I know how felt though - my hours got ...Oooh neat!

I know how felt though - my hours got cut at my "main" job (the job that "utilized" my college that I felt pressured to look for by *everyone* and left my favorite job ever for =( ) a year after working there - I went from 4 days a week down to 2 with half the pay and the only 2nd job I could get at the time was seasonal for a Sears Essentials store (basically a Kmart that Sears turned into a Kmart-like Sears store after Sears bought out Kmart or whatever) and unfortunately they had a handful of full-time cashiers that needed a certain amount of hours a week that there weren't enough to keep me on. But I was still working 2 days a week at my "main" job so whatever...

And then we went on vacation almost a year ago and when I came back they originally said they were cutting me down to 1 day a week with hourly pay, but that turned into an as-needed basis and I worked there 4 days total this year and heard from them today for the 1st time in nearly 5 months! Anyways, I got another seasonal job last year, but being a seasonal preggo chick I only got like 1 or 2 shifts a week and then after Christmas all my shifts were on-calls that they didn't need me for... and then once baby came... omg getting out of the house was SUCH a joy, just running an errand here or there with hubby, lol... I enjoyed only working 2 days a week at first, as it was nice still getting paid some and not working all the time, but that got boring quickly and I couldn't go out much cuz that cost money and yeah... sitting around home, sleeping in 5 days a week... sooooo boring!

Now the seasonal job kept me on as part-time and my hours picked up a few months ago - I went from working 1 day a week to working 4-5, lol... can't say I'm thrilled (ideally I only want to work 2-3 days as any money I make is just supplemental as hubby provides the majority of our income).

Sears is a good company to work for - I have no complaints, although the only thing I hated about our store was that the employee discount varied depending on what the item was. Some items were 10%, others 15%... etc. Kinda got annoying as I never knew how much of a discount to subtract when I was debating about buying something, lol...RAY Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07554153079752212370noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6878676968025437527.post-70661327296796859792011-09-07T12:59:05.348-04:002011-09-07T12:59:05.348-04:00Good luck!
